It is not done until the orange signs are removed. Voice of experience.

Right. Regardless of what it looks like (it LOOKS like there's no construction going on at 8PM on a Sunday too) the fact is it's still a "construction zone" until they say it isn't.

I've seen some of those orange signs stay up for YEARS after the construction was done. Of course it was not in the city limits but in rural areas, but up none the less

a little guerilla "neighborhood clean up" might be in order, in that case

At least the Petaluma Blvd. roundabout looks a little bit better than the EYESORE roundabout at South McDowell/Baywood. That is godawful ugly. But I had to laugh yesterday......someone put some fake flowers within the bricks there.
Unfortunately, the cold weather must have "killed" the fake flowers.....they were all tipped over

Why two topics (or more) on the same topic (roundabouts)?

That's fairly easy to expain, JEH.
If you look back at walk2k's post it was dated in 2011 when it first went in. This is someone that is new to the forum and just didn't bother to look back through the archives, Which would have been a tedious task

A keyword search of the topics would be pretty easy. Type in "roundabout" and all past posts will appear!

I like the new roundabouts. Way better than a stop sign or light. Especially for use at intersections that see modest to little cross traffic. Now that we are multi-roundabout town, motorists really should brush up on how to use them. I think they are good call.
The rest of the blvd is a disaster way too narrow with the parking on both sides and that right hand turn only lane at Washington is lunacy.
