TRADER JOE'S LOW SODIUM GARDEN PATCH VEGETABLE JUICE ! :D

(kind of like V-8 but so much better)

Delicious, fat-free, has 50 calories in a cup, fiber, vitamin A and vitamin C.

I have discovered it makes the BEST HOT SOUP -- add some fresh chopped tomatoes, and a dash of Frank's Hot Sauce and/or a dash of worcestershire. Microwave or stovetop.

Most canned tomato soups are full of sugar or corn syrup. Ugh.

Here's our latest "healthy" favorite.

Barbecued Romaine!

Brush whole romaine lettuce leaves with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.....put on the grill for about 30 seconds each side.

Really good! Who knew you could barbecue lettuce?

TJ been doing the BBQ Romaine for a while...to take it over the top (not as calorie friendly as your version ;) ) try adding sauteed lardons of pancetta, chopped & roasted pecans, dried cranberries, and thinly sliced red onion...we dress it with homemade ranch...delicious!

Technically wouldn't this be grilled romaine?

Kinda hooked on BEANITOS black bean chips lately. So good! Main ingredient is black beans!

Non GMO, no trans fats, no preservatives, gluten-free, no MSG, certified kosher, vegan, low glycemic, high fiber, low sodium, no cholesterol, protein 4grams.

Also good warmed in the microwave with sliced jalepenos and a bit of cheese. ;)

Health food area of Raley's, and the chip aisle at G & G.

ZUCCHINI NOODLES! We made them from fresh zucchini & yellow squash from Green String Farm.

Bought a gadget called Veggetti (spiral vegetable cutter). Had a gift card, so we bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond with 20% coupon it came to $11.99. KMart or Target probably carries them too.

Boil the long strands for a minute or two, drain, add olive oil, garlic & parm.
Or top with your favorite spaghetti sauce!
