Why is there no "HOUSING" Board, Commission, in the City of Petaluma?

Many other cities in CA have this.

With all the new housing going up you would think they would ESTABLISH a RESIDENT/TENANT/LANDLORD "Housing" Department.

It seems that everything related to housing is "farmed" out to various agencies in Sonoma County. They all say the same thing. That's a lot of money going out to finance duplicate services. And, a lot of times, they don't seem to have any solid answers and or solutions. A lot of "PASSING THE BUCK".

Very good question.

First, do you have any ideas on that? What do you think? Good or bad?

Can I ask if you are a homeowner?

Thanks 8-)

Is there a Tenant Housing Commission or oversite board in Petaluma?

Is anybody dealing with a bad landlord?

Well, I do and have for three years now.

What's sad is that the organizations in Sonoma County claim to help tenants with landlord/tenant issues Do NOT HELP tenants resolve anything.

We've got a Hispanic control freak who goes around looking for ways to violate lease agreements to evict tenants.

From putting plants on downstairs rails, to not having cats on leashes.

Then, to take your personal possessions in your yard area because he doesn't like the look. But, yet hasn't taken away from other tenants.

This is just the "gist" of it. I have principals and I'm sick and tired of the unnecessary antagonistic ways of this manager.

And, no one that can do anything will do anything. I just want peace back in my life. Life is too short and crazy.

And, I can't just up and move.

If someone is removing your private things, call the cops. That is called stealing, landlord or not.

This commission, how do you propose they be paid? More taxes?

Try the federal Housing Authority based in San Francisco, wouldn't hurt to contact them for some direction.
