Re: Simmer Vietnamese Kitchen
ANOTHER Vietnamese restaurant? Thang Long is right next door in Plaza South. I like Vietnamese food.....about once a year.
Would have rather seen a nice breakfast/lunch/supper cafe with great local baked goods, salads, fresh sandwiches, healthy pasta, grains and veggies, fresh soups, etc. Something like Mulberry Street or the old Haven in SF.
A restaurant like that would probably last longer than the others. Just my opinion
Anyway, we hope Simmer is good and best of luck to them!

Not sure if the east side of Petaluma really needs THREE Vietnamese restaurants. (Thang Long, Gnoc Thanh near OSH, and now Simmer).
The first two are hit and miss. They never seem crowded. The reviews on yelp are so-so. This new one will be competition.
