street light out & fence falling apart
There's a street light out on our street. Pole #591 on Phillips Avenue. Also there is a fence located at the end of our street that runs into Grant School's field. The fence has been falling apart for many years now. The boards are rotten to the ground and a board fell off again last week. The City has come out before and nailed the rotten board back up, but it's down again. I contacted the City years ago letting them know that it was in bad shape and they questioned whether it was the City's responsibility or the school's. In speaking with the school, I believe its the city's responsibility since the street was here long before Grant School was built. It would be nice to see it replaced before someone gets injured.

If the fence is on a common property line, then the responsibility is 50/50 between the Petaluma City Schools District and the City of Petaluma.

Re: street light out & fence falling apart
Happy to announce after many calls & emails to the City over many years, a new fence was installed yesterday. THANK YOU! Turns out this was the City's fence and not the schools. Either way, now no one will get hurt.
